For greater passenger convenience, STCP integrates the Andante intermodal system, offering a range of pre-purchased transport tickets for occasional or regular journeys (see fare schedule here), as well as a postpaid service application (ANDA). Occasional journeys and Andante passes allow the use of a single ticket on different modes of transport in the Porto Metropolitan Area. If you need to find out which ticket is most suitable for your journeys, as well as information about monthly discounts, we advise you to contact Linhandante (226 158 151 or cliente@andante.pt).
Andante monthly passes can be used on the historic tram lines (1, 18 and 22), provided the loaded zones correspond to the route being taken. For occasional trips, please consult the Porto Tram City Tour on-board fare schedule.
When requested, passengers are required to show their tickets to ticket inspectors, outside of their wallets. The verification process requires the inspector to hold the ticket before inserting it into the inspection machine. Passengers who do not have a validated ticket or one purchased from the driver are subject to a fine, the minimum amount of which is set at 100 times the value of the ticket purchased on board.
Consult the sanctions regime applicable to offenses related to public passenger transport: Decree-Law No. 117/2017 of September 12.
If you wish to contest a traffic ticket issued during a trip on STCP, you can use the form on the website or send your complaint to linhaazul@stcp.pt. Please note that, according to Article 9-A of Law No. 28/2006 of July 4th, as amended, voluntary payment of the fine at an Andante store within 15 working days of the date the ticket was issued benefits from a 50% reduction and results in the case being closed. This period is not interrupted by the submission of any written defense.
